<p>Dispatch Manager</p> <p>Transdev in Baltimore, MD (Charm City Circulator) is seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to ensure the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.</p> <p>Transdev is proud to offer:</p> <p>Non-CBA Position:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation package of minimum $55,000 - Maximum $58,000 </li></ul> <p>Benefits include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks</p> </li><li> <p>Sick days: 5 days</p> </li><li> <p>Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating</p> </li><li> <p>Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise and support a team of 3 dispatchers to ensure efficient daily operations and schedule adherence.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the creation, adjustment, and communication of operator work schedules, including daily assignments, PTO, sick leave, and coverage for open shifts.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize transit dispatch and tracking software (e.g., Passio, Clever Devices, Trapeze, or similar) to monitor route performance, bus location, and operator compliance.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure billing for bus is completed and accurate.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide manifest training to new employees.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all scheduled fixed-route trips are properly staffed and operating on time.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as the main point of contact for dispatch-related issues, coordinating with road supervisors and operations management as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide training and guidance to dispatch staff on system usage, procedures, and company policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records and reports related to attendance, operator coverage, incident response, and service delivery.</p> </li><li> <p>Generate and analyze data reports using Microsoft Excel for internal tracking, performance metrics, and planning purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Draft and distribute dispatch communications and operational documents using Microsoft Word.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure adherence to company policies, union agreements (if applicable), and safety regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in planning meetings and service reviews, providing dispatch insights and recommendations for improvements.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience in public transit or transportation dispatch, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong working knowledge of transit dispatch systems and scheduling tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and Microsoft Word (document creation, formatting).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and time-management skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make quick decisions, and adapt to service changes.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and leadership skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays, as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with fixed-route transit operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with unionized environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using transit scheduling software and real-time vehicle tracking systems.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces</p> </li><li> <p>Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level</p> </li><li> <p>Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct oral and written presentations on behalf of the organization.</p> </li></ul> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
