<p>Title: Instrumentation Controls and Electrical (IC&E) Technician</p> <p>Position Type: Contract</p> <p>Location: New Jersey</p> <p>Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor</p> <p>Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Key Project Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years IC&E experience including calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical distribution equipment. </li><li>Prior work in a combined cycle power plant and familiarity with GE 7FA or 7HA combustion turbines. </li><li>Experience with GE Mark VIe control systems and Allen-Bradley PLCs. </li></ul> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>PIC Group is seeking an experienced Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical (IC&E) Technician for a combined cycle power plant in NJ. The IC&E Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical systems. This position plays a key role in supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while assisting with maintenance planning, outage activities, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems and instrumentation. </li><li>Perform maintenance on Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, and related components. </li><li>Maintain and update instrumentation calibration records and support facility calibration programs. </li><li>Support both control room and field operations, as needed. </li><li>Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications accurately. </li><li>Assist with preventive maintenance programs, budgeting, and SOP development. </li><li>Support outage planning and execution, including coordination with vendors and contractors. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Strong Strong working knowledge of power plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical distribution. </li><li>Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs, DCS, and electrical systems up to 4,160V. </li><li>Familiar with LOTO procedures, arc flash safety standards, and hazardous energy control. </li><li>Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds. </li><li>Work in confined spaces, heights, and extreme temperatures as required in a power plant. </li><li>Must wear and properly use PPE, including arc flash gear, gloves, and safety glasses. </li></ul> <p>Education / Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred. </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $55-$60.</p>
