<p>Job Title: Mechanical Designer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>In this role, you will utilize your skills and expertise to develop engineering definitions for the Airborne Mission Network (ABMN) C-130 program. Your work will involve creating and reviewing complex technical data packages, including parts and assemblies for advanced mission payloads and electronic systems. You will ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy in layouts, drawings, and models, while identifying design errors and recommending improvements.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop engineering definitions for the ABMN C-130 program. </li><li>Create and review layouts, drawings, and models for clarity, completeness, and accuracy. </li><li>Identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions or improvements. </li><li>Work with multi-disciplinary design and development teams. </li><li>Apply and interpret industry-standard design principles, including parametric design and model-based definition. </li><li>Participate in fabrication, manufacturing, and production processes. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency with Solidworks and Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM). </li><li>Ability to read blueprints and understand engineering principles and practices. </li><li>Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and drafting practices using SOLIDWORKS. </li><li>Knowledge of configuration management and government standards. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associates or Technical Degree in a related field is preferred. </li><li>Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry is advantageous. </li><li>Experience with 3Dxperience (PLM) software is beneficial. </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is an office setting situated close to aircraft hangars, offering a dynamic and fast-paced atmosphere.
