<p>Advertised Position Title:</p> <p>Student Employee - Library Assistant at Findlay Campus Library</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>This position is open exclusively to current Students at Owens Community College who are eligible for Student Employment and / or Federal Work-Study.</p> <p>(If you're unsure of your eligibility, please contact studentemployment@owens.edu.)</p> <p>Assist Librarians in routine daily tasks such as greeting patrons, check-out/in resources, interlibrary lending, answering telephone, and answering general information questions.</p> <p>Minimum level of education needed to satisfactorily perform duties: High School Diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provide staffing for the circulation desk </li><li>Greet visitors and answer telephones </li><li>Answer questions and provide information </li><li>Check materials in and out for library users </li><li>Shelve materials in all areas of the library </li><li>Read shelves periodically to maintain order </li><li>Assist with circulation duties </li><li>Assist Librarians with projects </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Library Assistants may rotate periodic shifts in addition to their regular shifts.
