External applicants will not be considered.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Photographs and fingerprints all new inmates and employees </li><li>Prepares employee and inmate ID cards </li><li>Maintains Id files </li><li>Prepares fingerprint cards and sends to BCI </li><li>Maintains records of all fingerprint cards sent and returned </li><li>Identifies special problems, including criminal history reports of employees or applicants and immediately reports them to supervisor and to staff Personnel Department </li><li>Maintains confidential and secure files </li><li>Maintains all related records </li><li>Prepares and issues clear concise reports. </li><li>Enforces all custody and security rules </li><li>Performs custody duties similar to correction officer when required </li><li>Attends training at institution </li><li>Carries and maintains qualifications in weapons, unarmed self defense and other required areas </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned </li><li>Develops and maintains offender images for escape flyer [placeholder] </li></ul> <p>Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals & percentages & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary; 2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in photography & use & maintenance of related equipment; 2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in fingerprinting methods, techniques & use & maintenance of equipment.</p> <ul> <li>Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Corrections, Basic Documentation, Computer Literacy, Records Management, Problem Solving, Responsiveness, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality</p>
