<ol> <li> <p>Greets patients promptly and completes all components of patient registration including, collecting copays, answering the phone, directing calls to the appropriate person, and if applicable, document accurately within the EMR.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with patients to keep them informed of any delays with their appointment time.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains providers daily appointment schedules including scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments, processing cancellations and no-show appointments.</p> </li><li> <p>Check-out patients and schedules any follow-up appointments as instructed.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates patients' needs and requests to appropriate personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors, opens, and distributes mail/faxes to appropriate staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Process medical record requests made by patients, internal and external clients with appropriate approval.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends monthly departmental meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other work-related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Ability to read, write and communicate in English. </li><li>Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Basic computer skills. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, customer service and time management skills. </li><li>(Preferred) Experience with current office technology: Electronic Medical Records (EMR), MS Office, Outlook, etc. </li><li>(Preferred) Knowledge/experience with various insurance authorization/referral requirements </li><li>Must have good communication skills and pleasant telephone manner. </li></ul>
