<p>Overview</p> <p>As an Inscription Pipefitter, your job duties include fabricating and installing valve handles, stave damping, label plates on piping systems that will carry the ships liquids and gasses at various pressures. Systems include hydraulic, lube oil, high and low pressure air and high and low pressure steam, sea water, chilled water and potable water. Groom systems to prepare for Company, Navy and Government Inspections.</p> <p>Work conditions may include entry into restricted and confined spaces.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School/GED OR 2+ years of relevant technical experience </li><li>0-5 years of relevant experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Additional preference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs </li><li>Military Shipbuilding, Manufacturing, or shipyard experience </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <p>Must be able to able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, blueprints and diagrams</p> <p>Physical Qualifications</p> <p>Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Heavy Lifting, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting</p> <p>Environmental Attributes</p> <p>Acids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet</p>
