Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Perform technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative in the use of ionizing radiation for the purpose of radiographic diagnosis. Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by care providers and performs routine diagnostic procedures. Performs duties associated with operating radiologic equipment. Performs other clinical duties.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.</p> </li><li> <p>Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures. Performs diagnostic procedures limited to the following regions proficiently: chest (not to include breast), abdomen (non-contrast procedures only), skeletal structures to include upper and lower extremities, limited spine, skull, and sinuses. Follows prescribed safety standards in opening radiologic equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Instructs patients regarding procedures. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.</p> </li><li> <p>Examines radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and processes radiologic film. Delivers film to requester for reading/interpretation.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains x-ray exam room. Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies. Maintains established Practice policies and procedures, objectives and safety standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiologic equipment.
