<p>Kforce has a client in the Saint Louis, MO area that is seeking to hire an AP Specialist to join their company through the end of the year.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Data entry of merchandise, freight, and expense invoice information into the electronic imaging and accounts payable systems including opening, sorting, batching, and scanning mail and verifying quality of electric images </li><li>AP Specialist will match accounts payable invoices to purchase orders by line items </li><li>Handle high volume of electronic and verbal communications with suppliers and internal departments regarding invoice payment inquiries, discrepancy disputes, cash discount terms, and other matters, in a timely and professional manner </li><li>Monitor a variety of Accounts Payable email queues; Research, respond and/or escalate as needed </li><li>Determine correct vendor numbers, payment dates, and cash discount rates and amounts for supplier invoices presented via workflow for research and resolution; Identify and reconcile any variances between the purchase order and supplier invoice </li><li>As an AP Specialist, you will assist suppliers with payment portal setup and questions </li><li>Review and process supplier invoices requiring complex cost allocations and process a variety of manual payment requests (i.e., down payments to suppliers, business licenses, real estate and personal property tax, etc.) </li><li>Audit expenses for state tax charges and accrue as needed </li><li>Perform audits on flagged employee expense reimbursements ensuring compliance with internal and government instructions </li><li>Reconcile general ledger accounts* Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience </li><li>Beginner-moderate Excel experience </li></ul>
