<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Bakery Team Member is an essential role responsible for supporting the efficient operation of our bakery. Your responsibilities will include assisting to bake a variety of menu items, frosting cakes, crafting cakes, washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness of the bakery, and overseeing the daily operations during your assigned shifts. Part Time Job</p> <p>Team Member Job Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Learn and perform different duties, including cashiering, crafting, frosting, dishwashing, and/or baking. </li></ul> <p>Work Availability:</p> <p>Must be available to work during these hours:</p> <ul> <li>Thursday - 11am to 7:15pm </li><li>Friday - 11am to 7:15pm </li><li>Saturday - 11am to 7:15pm </li><li>Sunday 9:45am to 3:15pm </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Age: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. </li><li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent is often preferred. </li><li>Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is needed when following recipes, reading tickets, and decorating cakes. </li><li>Basic Math Skills: Necessary for measuring ingredients, taking inventory, and cash handling. </li><li>Time Management: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work quickly and efficiently, especially during busy periods or when multiple orders need to be fulfilled simultaneously. </li><li>Communication Skills: Effective communication with coworkers, supervisors, and customers is essential for ensuring smooth operations and meeting customer needs. </li><li>Teamwork: Collaboration and the ability to work well as part of a team are important in a bakery setting. </li><li>Technology: Comfortable with new technology and has the ability to operate a point-of-sale system </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements & Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Physical Demand: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. The role involves prolonged periods of standing, lifting heavy boxes, bags and ingredients, bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive movements. </li><li>Temperature Variation: The role involves exposure to cold temperatures due to refrigeration units. </li><li>Handling Equipment: Employees may need to operate bakery equipment such as mixer, oven and refrigerators. </li><li>Fast-Paced Environment: The ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask will be required. </li><li>Cleanliness and Sanitation: Employees will be expected to clean work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly. </li><li>Teamwork: Employees should be able to work effectively as part of a team. </li><li>Customer Interaction: Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor is necessary. </li></ul>
