Please send a cover letter and curriculum vitae to Dr. Darren Robert (robertd@easternct.edu) and Dr. Mark Fabrizi (fabrizim@easternct.edu).</p> <p>HPE 312 Group Dynamics in Health Education (course meets on campus Wednesdays, 4:00pm - 6:45pm) 3 credits</p> <p>Course description: This course provides participants with an opportunity to study how to implement group theory and related group dynamics to promote health education. Through various health topics and issues, students will be introduced to group theory, group dynamics, interpersonal interactions, effective group participation, group facilitation and leadership styles to help them develop the skills needed to work effectively with small groups to promote health education.</p> <p>Qualifications: Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience in P12 Health and Physical Education. High school health is preferred. Applicants must have a master's degree or higher in Health and Physical Education (or related field) from a regionally accredited institution. Teaching assignments are part-time, on a semester basis only, and are dependent on student enrollment and department needs. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Teach 3-credit course on campus consistently during the scheduled time; </li><li>Prepare lectures, projects, homework, assessments, and other student assignments that align with the course syllabus; </li><li>Grade all student work in a timely manner; </li><li>Must be able to organize and set up typical health equipment; </li><li>Provide appropriate feedback to students to promote academic success; </li><li>Learn and use technology resources offered at Eastern to facilitate teaching; </li><li>Monitor Eastern email and respond to inquiries within a reasonable time; </li><li>Comply with all departmental requirements; and </li><li>Provide an atmosphere that supports student success. </li></ul>
