<p>Job Title: QC Engineer I</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Quality Engineer I, QC Lab Support is responsible for monitoring, scheduling, and coordinating incoming and outgoing sample shipments for QC. This role operates in collaboration with the QC Laboratory Support functional team.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Pick up and transfer samples within QC for outgoing processing. </li><li>Complete GMP paperwork per SOPs for scheduling and submitting samples to external laboratories. </li><li>Monitor receiving areas for incoming shipments and process them per SOPs in a timely manner. </li><li>Manage business logs for incoming and outgoing samples. </li><li>Work in a biological safety cabinet, following gowning protocols, to sub-aliquot bulk samples to smaller aliquots. </li><li>Login samples to the LIMS system, properly label aliquots, and receive them to final storage as required. </li><li>Communicate the status of samples (picked up, for testing, for send-out) clearly and accurately to cross-functional area teams. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date training records and effectively train department employees on sample shipment tasks. </li><li>Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines. </li><li>Author Sample Management documents in the site electronic document management system. </li><li>Assist with additional laboratory support duties as necessary to meet departmental goals. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of GMP regulations in a GMP environment. </li><li>Understanding of cGMP practices and aseptic techniques. </li><li>Accurate pipetting skills. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications. </li><li>Detail-oriented with a strong safety mindset. </li><li>Experience with electronic document systems and LIMS. </li><li>Familiarity with SAP and electronic laboratory monitoring systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a high school diploma; two years of college in a Science or Engineering related field preferred. </li><li>5 years of experience at a GMP manufacturing facility, preferably in sample management, operations, or sampling roles. </li><li>Experience with GMP shipping processes and understanding of GMP laboratories. </li><li>Experience with sample labeling systems and inventory management systems is a plus. </li><li>Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. </li><li>Ability to multitask and work in an environment of change. </li><li>Capability to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Ability to recognize and address potential problems. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position follows a Monday-Friday schedule with an 8-hour shift from 8am-4pm. Candidates should be comfortable working on computers with various systems, software, and Excel.
