With innovative technology solutions and a dedicated, experienced team throughout the state, we're changing the face of foster care and positively impacting children and families' lives for generations to come.</p> <p>Join our team to continue to do good and create history serving Florida's children and families!</p> <p>As an Early Head Start Intern you'll assist our staff in providing high quality in-home education, support and monitoring to parents and assist them in guiding their child's early years before entering Pre-K. This unpaid internship opportunity that will provide real-world experience within a multigenerational and multicultural client setting!</p> <p>WHY JOIN CHS?</p> <ul> <li>Uplifting mission-driven work culture </li><li>Make an impact in your community and become a part of Florida's history! </li><li>Growth and professional development opportunities </li></ul> <p>YOU WILL:</p> <ul> <li>Support the home visitors by helping to develop the curriculum during home visits and family group activities </li><li>Support in facilitating family group activities and socialization experiences </li><li>Support the family support workers with monthly calendars and flyers </li><li>Coordinate and develop an outreach event weekly </li><li>Provide education and support services to families </li><li>Support home visitors by developing appropriate family goals </li><li>Assist in the pre- and post-checklist at socialization </li><li>Prepare supplies and decorations for county celebrations </li><li>Assist with cleaning and sanitizing all toys and equipment </li><li>Develop relationships with families that are respectful, culturally responsive and trusting </li><li>Perform data entry into applicable databases </li></ul> <p>YOU HAVE:</p> <ul> <li>An interest in providing education to parents with young children </li><li>Strong organizational skills and a tireless focus on quality results </li><li>Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to work well with diverse teams, clients and families </li><li>Resiliency, with a propensity to persevere in spite of constant change </li><li>A sincere passion for helping others in need </li></ul> <p>YOU NEED:</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Elementary Education (with certification to work with birth to 6th grade) or related field </li><li>Proficiency in computer systems and MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook </li></ul>
