<p>General Purpose</p> <p>Assists in the Culinary Arts program in the delivery of quality food services for internal and external customers. Responsible for operating a short-order food line, banquet preparation, setup, cleanup, maintain a clean, well-functioning and safe kitchen and food service environment. Exemplifies and provides a professional customer service.</p> <p>Schedule M-F, 7:00 - 1:30 pm</p> <p>No Weekends!</p> <p>Employees areeligiblefor a tuition waiver for classes at Davis Technical College</p> <p>Job Focus</p> <ul> <li>Works cooperatively with the Cafe Manager to ensure a quality Food Service Program. </li><li>Exemplifies and provides professional customer service in all aspects of food service. </li><li>Assists inpreparation and cooking of designated menus. </li><li>Works independently to operate a short-order line during breakfast and lunch hours. </li><li>Preparing, cooking, and serving food to customers. </li><li>Maintains serving areas in clean and well-stocked manner. </li><li>Monitors condition of equipment, cleanliness and order of storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, and other equipment. </li><li>Maintains kitchen and seating area in clean, sanitary, and orderly condition. </li><li>Works with student dishwashers to ensure consistent quality clean-up of kitchen. </li><li>Works with students to ensure food quality and service standards are met. </li><li>May assist with cashier responsibilities as needed. </li><li>Works cooperatively within the college Community. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma. </li><li>One year training in food service. </li><li>A combination of work experience and training may be used to fill this requirement. </li><li>Must have a current Davis County food handlers permit. </li><li>Must have good communications skills. </li><li>Ability to organize and follow through. </li><li>Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. </li><li>Must have the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment. </li><li>Requires a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Current ServSafe certification </li></ul> <p>Process/Application</p> <p>Davis Technical College complies with all aspects of the ADA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
