This role offers hands-on experience in community outreach, brand messaging, and internal/external communications. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a positive impact.</p> <p>Principal Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist with community event preparation and attend/support these events. Many of these events take place on weekends and we usually bring a water truck.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the setup and distribution of free drinking water and other handout materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate internal communications efforts, such as employee announcements or newsletters</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct research on community partnerships and communication trends</p> </li><li> <p>Provide general administrative support to the Communications team</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Outgoing personality - comfortable speaking with customers. </li><li>Willingness to work a flexible schedule. </li><li>Ability to lift 25 lb. boxes. </li><li>Skills - Office 365, Adobe Suite (preferred), Website Editing, Writing Experience. </li></ul> <p>Education/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Undergraduate student studying Communications/Marketing/Journalism a plus. </li><li>The position requires an individual to hold and maintain a valid State of Connecticut license to operate a motor vehicle. </li></ul> <p>Salary</p> <ul> <li> <p>The internship will run from mid-May through end of August, 40 hours a week (on-site).</p> </li><li> <p>Intern will report to our Main Street office (Bridgeport, CT).</p> </li><li> <p>Hours will be 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday (flexible).
