Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.</p> <p>HCE is a Title I, PK-5 campus with an enrollment of 400+ students.</p> <p>The HCE family believes that students are to be active and fit, and it adheres to a core belief that student success is rooted in the connections built between students and staff.</p> <p>With this belief in place, HCE is searching for the P.E. teacher who will bring high energy and a commitment to building healthy relationships with students to the campus.</p> <p>Start Date: July 2026</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university </li><li>Texas Teaching License and appropriate endorsements for the grade levels and subjects taught </li><li>ESL certification (Preferred) </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of the relationships that link physical fitness and student growth is required </li><li>Team planning with colleagues to ensure high quality instruction and assessment </li><li>Develop, modify, prepare, and model physical education curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels </li><li>Provide classroom instruction to whole groups, small groups, and individuals </li><li>Demonstrate the effective use of technology to enhance instruction and support student interest and growth </li><li>Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways. </li><li>Collect and analyze student data to drive instruction </li><li>Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff, and provide meaningful feedback </li><li>Communicate necessary information and student progress regularly to students, colleagues, and parents </li><li>Work cohesively with the campus staff in a self-contained atmosphere </li><li>Work cooperatively with Special Education teachers to modify curricula, and instruct and assess Special Education students in the regular classroom </li><li>Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) </li><li>Participate in staff development activities and improve job-related skills </li><li>Supervise instructional aide </li><li>Ability to be actively moving throughout the school day </li><li>Frequent lifting of weights up to 25 pounds </li></ul> <p>Please contact Alma McFarland, Campus Principal, at amcfarland@banderaisd2.net for more information.</p>
