Together we are helping tackle some of our communities' pressing health and social needs.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The licensed Rad Tech - IR/Cath Lab is a caregiver who assists in the performance of the cardiac catherization by assuring the imaging quality and storage of images according to departmental standards. Operates the fluoroscopy equipment in a manner that provides the highest quality image for the cardiologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization. Responsibilities include appropriate billing for each procedure.</p> <p>Major Position Responsibilities:</p> <p>The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner. They should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of the position. The characteristics of the position and standards of performance may be changed by TCMC with or without prior notice based on the needs of the organization.</p> <ul> <li>Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements. </li><li>Maintains and promotes safety, infection control, and performance standards. </li><li>Ensures patient and physician satisfaction. </li><li>Facilitates transportation of patients to exam rooms, assists with transfer to exam table and tray set-up. </li><li>Operates angiographic equipment using correct parameters. Adjusts KV and MA setting appropriate to patient population in accordance with title 17 and follows ALARA. </li><li>Assures proper billing for each procedure. Ensure quality control on billing. </li><li>Reviews Cine films and sets interventional roadmaps under the direction of the Cardiologist. </li><li>Accurately enters data into radiology information systems. </li><li>May perform other duties at the request of the Cardiologist including answering phones and taking messages. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of one-year catheterization lab or interventional radiology experience, required. </li><li>Fulfills and maintains competencies. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of radiology, required. </li></ul> <p>Licenses:</p> <ul> <li>CRT (CA Radiologic Technology certificate), required. </li><li>CA Fluoroscopy permit, required. </li><li>ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), required. </li></ul> <p>Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current BLS certification, required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider. </li><li>Current ACLS certification, required within 6 months of hire or transfer; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider. (Cath Lab only). </li><li>Additional Unit specific certification may be required. </li></ul> <p>Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.</p> <ul> <li>Salary/Hourly Wage range based on experience. </li></ul> <p>To protect the health of patients and staff, and to comply with the new State of California mandates, all job offers are contingent on the successful engagement in the TCMC COVID-19 vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral.)</p> <p>TCHD is an equal opportunity employer.
