<p>The Position</p> <p>Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Scientist I to join the DMPK team. The Associate Scientist I will be primarily focused on performing routine bioanalytical sample analysis. S/He will be joining a team of highly motivated and experienced chemists and biologists and contribute to the success of Arrowhead.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine quantitative bioanalysis in a variety of biological matrices (fluids and tissues) in support of DMPK pharmacokinetic and biodistribution pre-clinical studies under minimal supervision. </li><li>Generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Analyze, organize, and manage data independently. Present findings to the broader DMPK team. </li><li>Conduct peer review of data. </li><li>Setup and maintain lab instrumentation such as HPLC-FL and LC-MS/MS systems. </li><li>Evaluate assay and instrument performance, ability to troubleshoot minor issues. </li><li>Maintain a well-documented laboratory notebook. </li><li>Follow safe laboratory practices. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related scientific field with a minimum of one year of experience in pharmaceutical/CRO industry. </li><li>Familiarity with commonly used lab equipment such as analytical balances, bench top centrifuges, and pipettes. </li><li>Experience with a wide range of analytical techniques, especially HPLC and/or HPLC-MS. </li><li>Self-motivated team player with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment. </li><li>Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills with demonstrated effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Preferred experience with bioanalytical sample analysis (regulated or non-regulated). </li><li>Preferred familiarity with GxP regulatory guidance. </li><li>Preferred familiarity with Good Documentation Practices. </li></ul>
