<p>The Part-Time Human Resources Assistant provides accurate, courteous and efficient support to all members of the Human Resources Department. This position assists with routine HR functions including recordkeeping, data entry, filing and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented and committed to maintaining confidentiality. This is a temporary, part-time position (28 hours per week) though June 30, 2026.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department. </li><li>Maintain and update employee files (electronic and paper) in compliance with college policies and applicable laws. </li><li>Perform data entry in Colleague as needed to maintain accurate personnel records. </li><li>Process routine employment verification requests. </li><li>Assist with keying leave for payroll processing and preparing all necessary reports. </li><li>Provide professional and courteous assistance in-person, via email and by telephone to routine inquiries and communicates accurate information. </li><li>Provide coverage for the main reception area as needed. </li><li>Perform general clerical duties such as filing, scanning, copying and document preparation. </li><li>Professionally represents the Human Resources Department and maintains complete confidentiality regarding applicants, employees and former employees. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>College-wide Expectations</p> <p>WCC places a high value on creating an engaged, collaborative campus environment; therefore, employees are required to complete their work hours in person on WCC's campus. By working on campus and in person, employees have greater opportunities to engage with students and co-workers, attend on-site meetings and presentations, recruit students, and support local business and industry partners.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma from an accredited secondary institution or equivalent. </li><li>One year of part-time experience in a clerical support role. </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs. </li></ul> <p>Unofficial transcripts must be included with your online application before submission or sent directly to Human Resources immediately after applying.
