<p>Job Description:</p> <p>CCPS Non-Credit Instructors play a pivotal role in advancing FIT's mission by delivering relevant, career-focused instruction to adult learners (18+, including seniors). Instructors are industry professionals and educators who bring subject-matter expertise, inclusive teaching practices, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Courses may be scheduled during the day, evening, or weekends, based on program and student demand.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction aligned with approved CCPS course objectives. </li><li>Prepare instructional materials, assignments, and assessments that support learning outcomes. </li><li>Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback. </li><li>Foster a safe, respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for adult learners. </li><li>Utilize instructional technologies including Brightspace LMS, Google Workspace, WebEx Training, Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Suite, and related tools. </li><li>Effectively deliver instruction across in-person, remote, and hybrid formats. </li><li>Serve as a professional representative and ambassador of CCPS and FIT. </li></ul> <p>Applications are being accepted from candidates who have experience and expertise in the following areas:</p> <p>Humanities & Liberal Arts</p> <ul> <li>Cross-Cultural Studies for Senior Learners </li><li>English as a Second Language </li><li>Foreign Languages </li><li>History/Art History </li><li>Language Studies for Senior Learners </li><li>Writing (Creative, Non-Fiction, Business Planning, etc.) </li></ul> <p>The preceding description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required of the position; other duties may be assigned consistent with the classification of the position.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required, relevant and specific certifications will be considered. </li><li>5 years of professional experience in a relevant field and/or an established creative or design practice. </li><li>Commitment to teaching adult learners (18+, including seniors) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree preferred. </li><li>Experience in instruction, course development, and curriculum design. </li><li>Teaching experience in a college, museum, nonprofit, corporate training, or comparable setting. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>This is a part-time non-credit instructor position. Non-Credit course offerings are based on student enrollment, program priorities, and institutional funding requirements. The working conditions for this position will be any combination of the classroom, lab, and/or office space. Certain roles may be required to handle machinery and chemicals.
