<p>Job Summary</p> <p>We are seeking an APP for Tanner Health's Inpatient Cardiology service. The provider will be part of a 5 provider team and report to the Executive Director of Tanner Heart and Vascular Services practice. Tanner Heart and Vascular is part of Tanner Medical Group which consist of 42 individual practices and has approximately 270 total providers.</p> <p>This APP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide services for patients with Cardiac issues in the inpatient setting, under the supervision of the attending physicians. The APP will round on established patients of the practice who are currently admitted to the hospital. He/she will collaborate with other providers while conducting physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic issues, order and interpret diagnostic test including lab work and imaging studies, provide education and counseling to patients while maintaining medical records via EPIC EMR.</p> <p>Note: This job summary is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be required to perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.</p> <p>Position Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Work 4 10-hour shifts per week OR Work 5 days per week (8 hour shifts) </li><li>Work 1 weekend per every 4 weeks </li><li>Will have 2 compensatory days off during the work week; if working the weekend </li><li>No Call responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Job Eligibility Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Completed Physician Assistant program in good standing or Master of Nursing with specialization in Nurse Practitioner </li></ul> <p>Certification/License</p> <ul> <li>Currently hold or be able to obtain a Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License </li><li>Currently hold or be able to obtain a Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Open to New graduates or candidates with experience in related Cardiac field. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public screening events. </li><li>ACLS recommended. </li><li>Additional certification will be required for some specialties (i.e. ACLS, PALS) </li><li>Graduate of a recognized Physician Assistant program. </li><li>Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians </li><li>Must maintain high degree of confidentiality. </li><li>Must meet credentialing criteria. </li><li>Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital and/or other physician. </li><li>Must possess the sense or discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards. </li><li>Prior experience in a like specialty preferred. </li></ul>
