<p>Job Title: Compounder</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Operate and control a processing unit or a series of units to effect specific chemical changes in formulated products to desired results. Follow prescribed and standardized procedures with some degree of latitude due to the reactive nature of the substances processed.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Measure and charge materials into processing equipment, transferring them in accordance with the processing sequence. </li><li>Observe instruments and gauges, obtain samples for testing, and maintain process records as required. </li><li>Regulate and adjust manual, automatic, or electronic control devices to bring about proper chemical reactions or results. </li><li>Modify standard processes under the direction of the lab to correct batch irregularities. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>2 years of batch making experience in chemical production (chemicals, paints/coatings, food). </li><li>2 years of experience working off of a batch record/ticket. </li><li>Proficiency in chemical mixing, compounding, blending, batching, and understanding batch records. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma, GED, or HSED. </li><li>Experience in chemical compounding, batching, blending, and chemical manufacturing. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work in a chemical manufacturing facility with strong chemical smells. The role involves sitting 10% of the time, standing and walking 80%, and kneeling or twisting 10%. You must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. The position requires working the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 2:30/3:30/4:30 p.m., depending on the workload. Typically, an eight to nine-hour workday is expected, with potential for overtime to complete batches.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
