<p>SW Test Engineer</p> <p>Middletown, RI</p> <p>Contract</p> <p>$85.18/hr</p> <p>We are seeking Test Engineer to join our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit located a stones throw from seaside Newport, Rhode Island. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to execution of test plans for Linux & VxWorks software development efforts, hardware & software integration efforts, and test planning and development.</p> <p>The ideal candidate enjoys in a multi-disciplinary role and is comfortable adapting to and identifying new technologies as needed.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities: SW Test Engineer</p> <ul> <li>Develop test plans, test procedures, and test tools for multiple programs </li><li>Perform testing of both HW and SW systems, isolate failures, and propose solutions </li><li>Interface with DoD clients executing formal sell-off test events and integration test periods </li><li>Work closely with development teams when bugs are identified to track and resolve issues </li><li>Requirements tracking and verification </li></ul> <p>Qualifications You Must Have: SW Test Engineer</p> <ul> <li>Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. </li><li>BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant discipline and 5 years of experience or MS grad with degree and 3 years of experience. </li><li>Test execution experience in software environments, and documentation of test results Experience with test tracking software tools. </li><li>Position may require some amount of overnight travel. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications We Prefer: SW Test Engineer</p> <ul> <li>Experience and knowledge of software development in C Experience working with embedded systems Experience with Atlassian toolset (i.e. Jira and Confluence) </li><li>Experience in QA or configuration management </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience: SW Test Engineer</p> <ul> <li>5-8 years </li><li>Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) </li></ul>
