<p>Position: Solutions Architect</p> <p>Location: Santa Clara, CA</p> <p>Amphenol High Speed and Commercial Products Groups are the market leaders for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom and Diverse markets (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking a Solutions Architect to join our team.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Our customer's ultimate success depends on our ability to solve cutting edge problems in relation to interconnect solutions. We value our relationships with these companies, and we depend on our Solutions Architecture team to drive this ongoing partnership and lead these technical conversations.</p> <p>Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving Amphenol products Provide strategic technical marketing support for the development and implementation of Amphenol products Prepare materials and lead high-level product presentations to key stakeholders (including executives) Provide advanced customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries Devise and implement strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors Lead efforts to meet and exceed strategic objectives Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership within the Field Applications Engineering team Travel will be required</p> <p>Amphenol is a results driven company that allows its employees a large degree of freedom to achieve pre-defined goals. It is a flexible working environment yet we expect hard work, commitment, and results in return.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Bachelor's in Computer or Electrical Engineering An advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is highly desirable The role will draw on either your electronic engineering background (signal transmission, EMI/EMC, signal integrity) Minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience providing product marketing and sales technical support to produce design wins 10+ years of experience working in interconnect solutions Deep knowledge and experience support the larger system architecture either from working at a connector/cable company, or from working on the customer side Extensive experience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office Products</p> <p>SKILLS:</p> <p>Ability to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerial functions of a business Strong organizational and presentation skills High-level customer service and ability to build relationships with customers Expertise with modeling tools (Pro E or SolidWorks) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products</p> <p>The base salary range for this senior position is $180,000 - $215,000 USD annually. In determining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits effective day 1, vacation, sick leave, personal days, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and matching 401K.
