<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>The West Virginia Division of Administrative Services, Justice and Community Services (DAS/JCS) section, is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of Administrative Services Manager 3 - Assistant Director. This high-level position will be crucial in managing all programmatic and fiscal operational aspects of grant administration within the division.</p> <p>Our mission is to assist criminal and juvenile justice agencies and local government through research and performance data, ensuring effective planning, funding, and management of grant-supported programs, while providing regulatory oversight to maintain compliance with established standards.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Grant Administration: Oversee all programmatic aspects related to grant administration for the Justice and Community Services section, managing millions of dollars in grants and distribution to sub-grantees. </li><li>Collaboration with Fiscal: Work closely with the agency's fiscal section on the fiscal aspects of grant administration to ensure compliance with financial standards. </li><li>Support and Oversight: Assist criminal and juvenile justice agencies and local governments with the planning, funding, and management of programs supported by grant funds. Provide regulatory oversight for: Basic and annual in-service Law Enforcement training and certification, Community Corrections, Law enforcement response to domestic violence, and Juvenile Detention facility standards and compliance </li><li>Management of Staff: Directly manage senior programmatic staff, ensuring that all operations adhere to established division policies and guidelines. Assume accountability for all actions within the programmatic unit. </li><li>Adherence to Standards: Conduct all fiscal matters in accordance with General Accounting Office (GAO) standards, Federal standards, and regulations established by the State of West Virginia. Fulfill fiduciary responsibilities to safeguard Federal and State matching funds, utilizing them as intended. </li></ul> <p>The Assistant Director will also work with multiple other Assistant Directors of the Division of Administrative Services to ensure the mission of the division is achieved.
