This role is part of a district team that provides systems expertise, supports assessment and accountability data, enhances data-informed decision-making, and builds staff capacity in the effective use of district technology platforms.</p> <p>The Coordinator of Data Systems and Reporting is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of Infinite Campus, the district's official student information system and single source of truth. Infinite Campus serves as the authoritative data source for state and federal reporting, accountability metrics, school programming, and all district-level decision-making. This position ensures that all student information - including MLL, GT, Special Education, 504, and other special population indicators - is current, accurate, and accessible to stakeholders across the system. The Coordinator of Data Systems and Reporting also ensures that high-quality data flows seamlessly from Infinite Campus into eduCLIMBER, supporting instructional decision-making, MTSS systems, Strategic Plan goals and metrics, and the operational needs of schools and departments.</p> <p>This position was established to ensure seamless integration across student and staff information systems, maintain high-quality data for state and federal reporting, strengthen district data infrastructure, and provide training and support for staff using the student information system and related platforms.</p> <p>Under the supervision of the Director of Assessment and Accountability, the Coordinator will coordinate, support, and maintain core data systems; develop data tools and reporting solutions; and ensure accurate, reliable information is available to support instructional, operational, and strategic-plan monitoring needs across the district.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Partner with Human Resources and the Academic Team to develop and maintain onboarding processes for new teachers and staff, including creation of Infinite Campus accounts, appropriate role-based permissions, Clever rostering, access to curriculum systems/platforms, and training on district data and instructional platforms.</p> </li><li> <p>Train and provide technical support for district staff on use of student information system</p> </li><li> <p>Train and provide technical support for district staff on all core components of the student information system, including Online Registration, scheduling, attendance, enrollment/withdrawal workflows, and accurate data entry practices. Maintain ongoing training cycles and updated job aids to ensure consistent districtwide use.</p> </li><li> <p>Build and maintain all Infinite Campus Ad Hoc reports, data views, and custom reporting tools needed by schools and district departments. Ensure staff can readily access enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grade, special populations, and compliance data.</p> </li><li> <p>Reduce reliance on district office staff for simple report pulls by training and empowering school teams to use IC reporting tools independently.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan, develop, design, integrate and maintain all computer applications, including specialized applications specific to various district program needs</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability</p> </li><li> <p>Perform system integration, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture</p> </li><li> <p>System thinker that will perform complex system problem identification and resolution</p> </li><li> <p>Work with appropriate product supplier for enhancements and issues not resolved in- house</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in meetings, workshops and/or trainings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions</p> </li><li> <p>Design, manage, schedule, and document data processing activities, resolutions, and analyses</p> </li><li> <p>Provide data, conduct data analysis, and develop reports for improved decision making</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to inquiries from a variety of sources (e.g. staff, administrators, school site personnel, outside vendors and service providers, etc.) for the purpose of providing technical assistance, advice and support.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as a technical resource to department and district staff for the purpose of providing information and/or advice regarding active or planned projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and train on data quality management solutions</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and maintain the district's student information system, call out system, online registration and verification of student and staff data for state and federal reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Systems Support, Integration, and Monitoring</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate, maintain, and monitor all core district data systems, including the student information system (Infinite Campus), Online Registration, call-out system, and integrated platforms supporting enrollment, attendance, assessment, and state/federal reporting. </li><li>Serve as a system thinker who identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves data workflow issues; collaborate with product vendors or district IT when issues cannot be addressed in-house. </li><li>Monitor system performance and data flow to support accuracy, reliability, and operational continuity, including backup processes and disaster recovery protocols managed by IT </li><li>Participate in meetings, workshops, and trainings to gather and convey information necessary for effective system use and process improvement. </li></ul> <p>Data Quality, Reporting, and Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Design, manage, schedule, and document data-processing activities, including audits, error resolutions, and routine data reviews. </li><li>Ensure accuracy and verification of student and staff data used for state and federal reporting by coordinating with schools and district departments. </li><li>Build and maintain Infinite Campus Ad Hoc reports, data views, and custom reporting tools to support school operations, compliance needs, and district decision-making. </li></ul> <p>Conduct data analysis and develop user-friendly reports and dashboards to support improved decision-making, strategic plan monitoring, and school improvement processes.</p> <ul> <li>Train and empower school teams to independently access and interpret IC reporting tools to reduce reliance on district-level staff for routine report pulls. </li></ul> <p>Training, Support, and Capacity Building</p> <ul> <li>Train and provide technical support for district staff on all core components of Infinite Campus, including Online Registration, scheduling, attendance, enrollment/withdrawal workflows, grading windows, and accurate data entry practices. </li><li>Develop, maintain, and regularly update job aids, training decks, workflow guides, and recorded tutorials to ensure consistent districtwide expectations and onboarding of new staff. </li><li>Serve as a technical resource to district and school staff, offering guidance on planned updates, system improvements, data requirements, and operational best practices. </li></ul> <p>Cross-Department Collaboration & Onboarding</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Human Resources and the Academic Team to implement efficient onboarding processes for new teachers and staff, including timely creation of Infinite Campus accounts, assignment of role-based permissions, Clever rostering, and access to instructional platforms. </li><li>Coordinate with Nutrition Services, Transportation, SPED, and MLL departments to ensure workflows are integrated within Infinite Campus and aligned with district procedures and state compliance. </li></ul> <p>Continuous Improvement & Strategic Plan Alignment</p> <ul> <li>Develop and train staff on data quality management solutions that ensure fidelity to district workflows and improve the accuracy of student records. </li><li>Support districtwide progress monitoring aligned to the Strategic Plan by maintaining high-quality data, consistent processes, and tools for school and district leadership. </li><li>Identify areas for process improvement and propose refinements to increase system efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience. </li></ul> <p>General</p> <ul> <li>Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, vendors, and service providers to provide timely technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY DUTIES:</p> <p>None</p> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>B.S./B.A. in a related field required</p> <p>Master's preferred</p> <p>Licenses or Certifications</p> <p>NA</p> <p>Knowledge and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Must have the ability to lead and execute on projects; facilitate group discussions and trainings; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. </li><li>Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: use of relational databases to query data, database architecture, SSMS/IS/RS, creating ETL packages, SQL scripting, experience with a Student Information Systems such as Infinite Campus or PowerSchool. </li><li>Experience managing a Student Information System (Infinite Campus), including data validation, workflow development, permissions management, and training users; This type of work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business-related equipment, handling and working with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.</p> <p>CLEARANCE:</p> <p>Must clear online background check and FBI Fingerprint check through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.</p> <p>SALARY:</p> <p>Salary placement is between $91,000 - $128,000 and is based upon previous related experience.</p> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <p>Employees who are scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible to obtain district benefits which include medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and supplemental benefits. Positions that qualify for benefits also qualify for leave, which could include vacation and daily leave to be determined by the position and number of days assigned. Sheridan School District No. 2 is a public employer and participates in the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA). All employees are required by state statute to contribute 8.75% of salary on a pre-tax basis to PERA.
