<p>Job Title: Materials Management Clerk</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Materials Manager performs a variety of planning, procuring, and sometimes distribution of supplies, equipment and services for the surgical centers. Performs value analysis activities as necessary. Assist A/P with reconciliation of invoices. Serves as a liaison between surgery center Materials Managers and corporate Materials Manager.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Surgical Specialties and their prospective equipment & supply needs. </li><li>Completes analysis of data to determine best available cost and minimal lead time. </li><li>Product prioritization and management, keeping number of similar items to a minimum. </li><li>Ability to research & evaluate supplier performance in support of existing contracts. </li><li>Concurrently monitors resource utilization, supplies, and expenses. Takes action immediately as needed. </li><li>Manage the center staff's management of supplier's relationships and agreements. </li><li>Knowledge of Packaging, Transport, Health & Safety regulatory guidelines and compliance to ensure facility compliance. . </li><li>Monitors and assists with the collection, documentation and reporting of product performance assessment and improvement data. </li><li>Assist in Inventory updating and Standardization. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High School graduate or equivalent, A.S degree preferred. </li><li>Three to four years' experience in medical materials management or one to two years as OR materials management. </li><li>Background in Surgical Setting considered. </li><li>Strong supervisory and organizational skills required. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of medical terminology. </li><li>Ability to work well independently and perform duties under pressure. </li><li>Strong computer skills with knowledge of excel. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.</p> <p>ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal busy office environment with much computer and telephone work.</p> <p>This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
