<p>Title: Education Innovation Specialist</p> <p>Location: Upper East Side</p> <p>Org Unit: Curriculum</p> <p>Work Days:</p> <p>Weekly Hours: 35.00</p> <p>Exemption Status: Exempt</p> <p>Salary Range: $100,200.00 - $123,300.00</p> <ul> <li>As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices </li></ul> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Education Innovation Specialist will serve as WCM's primary faculty resource for improving teaching quality in the MD and PA programs. The Specialist will design and deliver faculty development programs, provide individual coaching, and partner with course and clerkship leaders to enhance teaching effectiveness. This role is central to meeting LCME accreditation standards for faculty professional development.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual consultations for MD and PA faculty seeking to improve teaching strategies, presentation skills, and learner engagement. </li><li>Design and facilitate workshops on teaching methods, active learning, assessment, and giving feedback. </li><li>Collaborate with MD and PA course/clerkship directors to review and enhance session design and delivery. </li><li>Develop and curate evidence-based teaching resources for faculty. </li><li>Track and assess the impact of faculty development interventions on teaching quality. </li><li>Serve as an institutional resource on best practices in health professions education. </li><li>Supports faculty in incorporation of AI and other technologies in teaching. </li><li>Compile and analyze data that speak to the use of services and outcomes of interventions. </li><li>Participate in CQI efforts of Medical Education. </li><li>Perform other duties as required </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Master's or Doctoral degree (EdD, PhD, or equivalent) in education, instructional design, health professions education, or related field required </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <p>Minimum 5-8 years of experience in faculty development, instructional design, or academic development in higher education; health professions experience strongly preferred.</p> <p>Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theory, curriculum design, and educational assessment.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach and motivate faculty. </li><li>Proven problem-solving skills and demonstrated strong self-initiative </li><li>Computer proficiency with word processing and databases in a Windows and/or Mac environment. </li><li>Ability to interpret and communicate to others complex policies and procedures. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently with a high degree of reliability, accuracy and productivity. </li><li>Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively address complex and sensitive administrative issues. </li><li>Demonstrated collaboration skills and commitment to teamwork. </li><li>Proven track record in exercising discretion and independent judgment effectively in decision-making processes. </li></ul> <p>Licenses and Certifications</p> <p>Working Conditions/Physical Demands</p> <p>Cornell welcomes students, faculty, and staff with diverse backgrounds from across the globe to pursue world-class education and career opportunities, to further the founding principle of "any person, any study."
