<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Under the direction of the Academy Principal, the (LE) Leading Edge Academy Spanish Teacher is responsible for providing Spanish instruction to the academy's 7th and 8th grade students. Students who successfully complete both years have completed the equivalent of Spanish 1 and will move on to Spanish 2 in high school. All Leading Edge teachers provide a supportive and innovative learning environment that supports student achievement through a comprehensive, learner-centered curriculum that meets state standards. Leading Edge teachers develop and implement hands-on learning activities that emphasize critical thinking and encourage creativity. Leading Edge teachers must be adept at researching, designing and implementing innovative, hands-on lessons that address the diverse needs of middle school students. Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment in which staff engages in cross-curricular planning and non-scripted curriculum is essential.
