The Tax Accounting and Compliance team is responsible for income tax accounting (ASC740) and related disclosure, the filing of various corporate tax returns, performing tax sensitive scenario and data analysis, and managing tax controversy matters.</p> <p>Our Impact:</p> <p>This position has various responsibilities, including income tax accounting, tax compliance, and interfacing with both finance and non-finance professionals across multiple business units, providing tax and other accounting support for business decisions.</p> <p>Your Impact:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs tasks related to income tax compliance, such as returns, extensions, forecasts and tax provisions.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with corporate tax initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Preparation of estimated payments.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with general administrative functions of the tax team.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in preparation and analysis of the quarterly and annual effective tax rate, deferred taxes, tax related balance sheet reconciliations, provision to return, and tax footnotes.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>2+ years of experience and background in tax compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, including advanced functions and features.</p> </li><li> <p>Adherence to deadlines, especially during the monthly, quarterly and yearend close process</p> </li><li> <p>Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Keys to Success in this Role:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Adherence to deadlines, especially during the monthly, quarterly and yearend close process</p> </li><li> <p>Financial services experience especially in mortgage industry.</p> </li><li> <p>Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>The right candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a passion for tax accounting, tax compliance, and tax analysis.
