<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Pay Rate: $12.50 per hour</p> <p>General Description:</p> <p>Peer Tutors will provide academic support and subject-specific tutoring to students as well as participate in professional development and training as appropriate for their subject or position. Tutors are active both in the classroom and in the Tutoring Center, interacting with students in both individual and group situations.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provide subject area tutoring services to students, faculty, and staff in one or more academic area: math, science, writing, accounting, economics, business, health services, etc </li><li>Record and submit detailed documentation of each tutoring session </li><li>Assist students with general computer and printer use </li><li>Attend all tutor trainings, professional development opportunities, and staff meetings required by the Manager </li><li>Present a professional demeanor at all times in both personality/dress and provide exceptional customer service </li><li>Assist with project-based tasks to serve NCMC students or faculty/staff </li><li>The duties listed in this job description are not all-inclusive, but a list of the major responsibilities.
