RANDALL's services and products are delivered through our 100,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility, set on 25 acres in Central Florida.</p> <p>Randall Fire Protection are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Electrician with Low Voltage Installation Experience to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems and control systems and related equipment on project throughout Central Florida.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The technician will ensure that all systems are functional, compliant with codes, and meet safety standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of fire alarm systems and controls (HVAC), excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining the safety of occupants and property.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Install, troubleshoot, maintain and occasionally program fire alarm systems and related components (e.g., smoke detectors, pull stations, control panels, signaling devices).</p> </li><li> <p>Controls installation and troubleshooting.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct assessments of fire alarm systems according to NFPA 72, local fire codes, and manufacturer specifications to identify deficiencies and system troubles.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct assessments of control systems according to NFPA 70, local codes, and manufacturer specifications to identify deficiencies and or system troubles.</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to identify preventive maintenance and service.</p> </li><li> <p>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records of work performed, assessment information (panels and devices brands and models).</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and building officials during installations or renovations.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of fire alarm systems.</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualification Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Fully fluent in English. (Speaking, Writing, Reading)</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 4 years of experience in fire alarm and/or controls installation.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 10 years of electrical experience (120v), installation (Rough in, Conduit installation, Wiring).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of NFPA codes.</p> </li><li> <p>Own and safely use hand and power tools and electrical tools (e.g. Drill, Impact, Multimeter, Hi/Low Voltage Detector, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</p> </li><li> <p>Good communication and customer service skills. You will be the face and voice of the company when working in the field.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks on the job site.</p> </li><li> <p>OSHA 10 / 30 Certification (Preferred)</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time.
