With operations in New York, South Carolina, and Canada, our fundamental belief has been to provide unparalleled service to all while maintaining our values of honesty and integrity both on land and sea.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-core welding to high-quality standards. </li><li>Read and interpret complex blueprints and welding symbols. </li><li>Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components. </li><li>Conduct fit-ups and alignments prior to welding. </li><li>Inspect your own work to ensure compliance with quality standards. </li><li>Assist with training and guiding junior welders. </li><li>Maintain welding equipment in good working order. </li><li>Follow all safety protocols and quality procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of welding/fabrication experience. </li><li>Ability to pass weld tests in multiple positions. </li><li>Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills. </li><li>Experience with multiple welding processes. </li><li>Welding certification preferred. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods. </li><li>Regular use of hands, tools, and equipment requiring fine motor skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Primarily working in a repair shop with exposure to noise, machinery, and moving equipment. </li><li>May be exposed to varying temperatures, dust, or odors depending on the season and work area. </li><li>Follows all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient workspace. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States. </li><li>Employment in this role may be contingent upon the successful completion of certain pre-employment requirements, which could include a background check, drug screen, or driving record review, depending on the position </li></ul> <p>What we Offer:</p> <p>Pay range for this position is $29-$35/hr</p> <ul> <li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance </li><li>Additional Coverage Through AFLAC </li><li>Company Paid Holidays </li><li>401(k) with an 8% Match </li><li>Short Term, Long Term Disability </li><li>Group Life Insurance </li><li>Employee Assistance Fund </li><li>Emergency Service Worker Bonus </li><li>Employee Referral Bonus </li><li>15% Carhart Discount for all employees - NY only </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:</p> <p>Carver Companies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
