<p>ABOUT THE ROLE</p> <p>The responsibility of this position is the hands-on operation of the terminal equipment and daily operating functions of the terminal as directed by terminal management. The Terminal Operator safely operates all equipment at the location used to load and unload rail cars and/or trucks, ensuring order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING</p> <ul> <li>Strict adherence to all Holcim Safety Directives striving to achieve ZERO Lost Time Accidents, Medical and First Aid Incidents. </li><li>Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. </li><li>Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc, in a clean and presentable state. </li><li>Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading material. </li><li>Responsible for safe, proper use and operation of unloading equipment (vibrators, compressors, front-end loader, blowers, pumps, vacuum systems, railcar mover, pneumatic door opener, boot lifts, hoisting equipment, etc.). </li><li>Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance. </li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records on all terminal equipment, and mobile equipment. </li><li>Perform clerical functions following the established guidelines for the recording of receipts, shipments and inventory records. </li><li>Assist at other Holcim locations as required. </li><li>Assists in the training of new employees. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li><li>Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test. </li></ul> <p>WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR</p> <p>Required Education: High School diploma/GED</p> <p>Required Work Experience: 1-3 years</p> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <p>Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance.</p> <p>Licenses Preferred: Valid Driver's License</p> <p>Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
