The City is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Server Systems Analyst to help manage and maintain the core technologies that support our essential operations.</p> <p>In this role, you'll take ownership of technical and administrative responsibilities related to server infrastructure, software environments, system maintenance, and data center security. Two years of the required experience must have been at the Technical Support Analyst level.</p> <p>or</p> <p>Possession of a high school diploma or GED and seven years of technical or professional experience that includes systems analysis and/or technical support. Two years of the required experience must have been at the Technical Support Analyst level.</p> <p>Necessary Special Requirements</p> <p>The selected applicant must successfully complete a fingerprint-based criminal background screening. Must obtain Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) certification within 30 days of employment and must maintain as a condition of continued employment.</p> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>$29.0888 to $78.9348/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $55.8758/hour</p> <p>Driver's License Requirements</p> <p>At the department director's discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required.</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Essential Job Responsibilities - Server Support Analyst</p> <ul> <li>Server Infrastructure Support: Administer and support virtual and physical servers in a hyperconverged environment, running Windows Server 2012-2022 R2 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), in alignment with City of Tallahassee (CoT) IT standards. </li><li>Technical Service Fulfillment: Respond to service requests for hardware repairs, server moves, system modifications, and new deployments across departments, utilizing city-issued vehicles when on-site support is required. </li><li>Technology Integration & Collaboration: Participate in project teams to support the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new technologies.
