<p>REPORTS TO:Superintendent Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2025 RESPONSIBILITIES: The Principal serves as the educational leader of the school, administering all facets of its instructional program, as well as supporting building needs and policy requirements. The school serves approximately 225 students and their families from the town of Holland. The ideal leader will nurture an environment that focuses on rigorous learning expectations, open communication, and developmentally appropriate student supports. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Implements federal and state laws, administrative regulations and school committee policies, as they apply to the local school </li><li>Supervises the delivery of instruction to students ensuring that teachers focus on the district curriculum and the Massachusetts curriculum frameworks to meet student needs and requirements </li><li>Supervises and evaluates certified and non-certified personnel assigned to the school </li><li>Demonstrates fiduciary responsibility through effective development and management of the budget and school activity funds </li><li>Effectively manages an efficient office and record-keeping system </li><li>Encourages and facilitates faculty and staff professional growth </li><li>Fosters positive student, parent and staff relationships </li><li>Encourages positive public relations within and outside the school </li><li>Hires and recommends highly qualified staff members </li><li>Exercises leadership necessary to make the school facility a safe, attractive, and productive place in which to learn and work </li><li>Develops and implements a fair and consistent system for student discipline </li><li>Attends school committee meetings, as required </li><li>Maintains currency in education practices and invests in one's own professional development </li><li>Supports the diverse needs of all students including those with Special Education, Social-Emotional and ELL needs </li><li>Familiarity with RTI and Inclusive Practices </li><li>Facilitates student support meetings </li><li>Provides supplemental academic support to targeted students </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent ABILITY TO: </li><li>utilize collaborative leadership style </li><li>maintain open lines of communication with the superintendent and pertinent central office administrators regarding school-based issues </li><li>engage with all students, families, and community members </li><li>manage the proper and efficient use and conservation of all assets and resources assigned to the school </li><li>demonstrate effective command of technology use as well as written and oral language QUALIFICATIONS: </li><li>Massachusetts Principal's License at the Elementary Level </li><li>Evidence of ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
