<p>JOB PURPOSE/ FUNCTION</p> <p>The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine wastewater analysis for process control as directed by the Lead Operator.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Performs routine wastewater analysis for process control as directed by the Lead Operator such as: </li><li>Chemical oxygen demand (COD) </li><li>Analysis of BOD5 </li><li>Suspended and total solids, volatile solids, ammonia </li><li>Total kjedahl nitrogen (TKN) </li><li>pH </li><li>Conductivity </li><li>Process jar testing </li><li>The operations of the Atomic Absorption analysis equipment </li><li>Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices </li><li>Previous water or wastewater treatment experience </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of formal training and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience</p> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p> <p>None</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer.
