Conducts job evaluations, market salary surveys, and analytics to provide information regarding market trends and recommendations regarding the compensation program. Click here for more information on compensation for these roles. </li><li>In addition to competitive compensation, DPS has other Total Reward offerings such as; time off, health and wellness benefits, and PERA Retirement. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Will maintain and administer salary and step and grade schedules for the district. </li><li>Participate in and conduct salary surveys and market analysis to identify market trends. </li><li>Provide analysis and administration in the planning, development, and implementation of base salary and incentive compensation programs such as salary increases and pay for performance. </li><li>Provide guidance and recommendations regarding compensation decisions such as salary setting, job evaluations, job descriptions, district guidelines, and practices. </li><li>Consult with HR partner and manager to conduct job analysis, job description development, and job audits to determine the appropriate job classifications and provide input on organizational development. </li><li>Maintain compensation related data and applications including job description database and job codes. </li><li>Conduct in-service training or present compensation information to District stakeholders. </li><li>Assist with compliance by ensuring applicable employment-related federal and state statutory requirements are integrated into compensation programs. </li><li>Receive Teacher advanced degree and Special Service Provider advanced license information; review and verify credentials and transcripts; enter degree and license information into human resources system; determine pay increase based on contract schedules resulting for degree and license; communicate information to payroll for processing. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent is required. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration or related area preferred. </li><li>Three (3) years recent, progressively responsible compensation experience. </li><li>Previous labor contract cost analysis experience preferred. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and diplomacy required. </li><li>Experience in quantitative and qualitative job evaluation methodology. </li><li>Experience using HRIS systems, and conducting data analysis using spreadsheets, databases and statistical software to produce original analysis and recommendations. </li><li>Experience and proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office products (e.g., Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). </li><li>Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SHPR) certification preferred. </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>Effective time management and organizational skills. </li><li>Effective communication skills. </li><li>Work collaboratively with others on a team. </li><li>High degree of integrity in handling confidential information. </li><li>Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines. </li><li>The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance. </li><li>Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with district and school leaders, faculty, staff and students. </li><li>Knowledge of public or private personnel policies, practices, and procedures (e.g., position classification, salary administration). Knowledge of a variety of occupations (e.g., district's standard job classes). Strong mathematical aptitude, including commonly used statistical applications (e.g., mean, mode, variability, regression). Knowledge of Human Resource Department processes and compensation best practices. Knowledge of HR policies and procedures, Federal and State employment laws and statutes. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with District staff at all levels. Ability to understand the consequences of compensation related decisions and recommendations. Ability to organize complex projects and strong attention to detail. Ability to problem-solve and act decisively. Ability to communicate diplomatically, persuasively, effective oral, written and presentation skills.
