Responsible for recruiting and screening older adult research participants, administering informed consents, behavioral assessments, and study interventions, collecting, entering and analyzing data, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements, phlebotomy duties that include safely collecting blood specimens, verifying participant information, maintaining sterile equipment, ensuring proper labeling and handling for accurate laboratory testing, and other duties as assigned. This position is located in SC and will be either Greenville or Seneca, with travel between sites. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES:</p> <p>40% - Essential - Data Collection:</p> <p>Collects data from various sites according to research protocols, ensuring high accuracy and attention to detail in all procedures. Data Entry and Quality Control: Maintains the quality of the data collected by ensuring proper entry and adherence to the protocols outlined for the study.</p> <p>30% - Essential - Testing and Intervention Administration</p> <p>Psychometric Testing:</p> <p>Administers psychometric tests and questionnaires objectively and consistently to gather reliable data.</p> <p>Phlebotomy:</p> <p>Performs safe and accurate blood collection for participants in the study</p> <p>Intervention Administration:</p> <p>Administers study interventions as per the protocol, ensuring the reliability of the study.</p> <p>20% - Essential - Participant Recruitment and Engagement</p> <p>Recruitment and Screening: Implements recruiting and screening protocols to identify eligible older adult participants for research studies, ensuring the diversity of participants.</p> <p>Community Engagement: Travels to and attends community events to facilitate recruitment and meet enrollment targets.</p> <p>Communication: Establishes and maintains rapport with study participants through regular communication, encouraging adherence to the intervention and addressing their concerns professionally and sensitively.</p> <p>5% - Essential - Training and Public Communication</p> <p>Training: Trains assistants and volunteers in gathering and entering data, ensuring consistency and reliability in data collection.</p> <p>Public Communication: Crafts and disseminates information about the studies to the participants and the general public to foster awareness and engagement.</p> <p>5% - Essential - Compliance and Regulation Adherence</p> <p>Regulatory Adherence: Ensures that all research activities are in compliance with federal, state, and university regulations, including IRB, Good Clinical Practice, and HIPAA guidelines.</p> <p>Documentation: Oversees the proper documentation and maintenance of necessary documents as dictated by regulatory guidelines.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Education - Bachelor's Degree in a related field and work experience directly related to the assigned research area; or a high school diploma and advanced journey-level work experience in a clinical or research setting.</p> <p>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Work Experience - At least 1 year research experience. Proficient with Office 365 and Zoom software. Experience working on NIH-funded studies and/or clinical trials. Experience working with older adults and/or diverse populations. Experience with REDCap and Qualtrics. Possible programming experience with R and Python.</p> <p>Education Area - Psychology, gerontology, health or behavioral sciences, other related field.</p> <p>Licenses & Certifications - This position requires direct contact with vulnerable populations and requires medical clearances and vaccinations against COVID-19 or other diseases.
