<p>Title: Floor Technician</p> <p>Hours: 3rd Shift - able to work holidays and weekends.</p> <p>Reports to: Account Manager</p> <p>Summary: The Floor Tech cleans all floor areas of the facility in a Professional manner in order to reflect the</p> <p>highest integrity of the Custodial Department.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Performs routine cleaning of the floors on the assigned facility in a neat and sanitary manner. </li><li>Mops, sweeps, scrubs, and strips floor, applies floor sealers and finishes. </li><li>Full vacuuming will be required in traffic areas and any visible debris on carpets. </li><li>Spot clean carpets as needed, utilizing extraction and others methods. </li><li>Maintain hard floors with no build up in corners and provide dust mop. </li><li>Polish floor using buffing products to restore shine high gloss and uniform appearance to the traffic areas. </li><li>Must maintain and keep equipment clean and in good operational conditions. </li><li>Reports safety hazards as appropriate. </li><li>Locks and unlocks doors and windows to offices and other rooms as necessary. Turns off lights when </li></ul> <p>rooms are unoccupied.</p> <ul> <li>Works day, evening or night shift as assigned. </li><li>Must do work on his/ her own with normal supervision. </li><li>Observes safety precautions at all times. </li><li>Perform related work as directed </li><li>At the end of the shift equipment must be left clean and ready to use including cleaning materials. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED. One year of related experience or training or a combination of education and experience.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE</p> <ul> <li>Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. </li><li>Apply common sense understanding to follow instructions that were provided. </li><li>Must be able to communicate and understand English. </li></ul> <p>TYPE OF CHEMICAL USED:</p> <p>In general we use Green Products. In the accounts you will be using Floor Strippers, Floor Finish, Grout Cleaners, Tile Cleaners, and Spot removers, Germicidal, Deodorizers and Glass Cleaners.</p> <p>PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bends 20 to 30 times in a 4 hour shift carrying 20 to 40 pounds. </li><li>Carry 5 to 10 times in a 4 hour shift carrying 20 to 40 pounds. </li><li>Kneel 5 to 10 times in a 4 hours shift. </li><li>Lift Floor to Waist, pull and push 5 to 10 time s in a 4 hour shift carrying from 5 to 10 pounds. </li><li>Squats and Twist 5 to 10 times in a 4 hours shift. </li><li>Walks approximately 1 mile in 4 hours shift </li></ul> <p>#JT</p>
