<p>Starting salary ($67,000+) and Commission ($200 per closed loan)</p> <p>Are you a motivated and experienced lender fluent in both English and Spanish who thrives on helping others achieve their dreams?</p> <p>Lake City Bank is hiring a bilingual (Spanish/English) AVP, Mortgage Loan Originator to serve the Elkhart County market. This role requires regular communication with Spanish-speaking clients, and candidates must be able to read, write, and speak both languages proficiently. We strongly prefer applicants with established ties to the Latino community in Elkhart County.</p> <p>In this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and originate residential mortgage applications for conventional, portfolio, and construction products. </li><li>Meet with clients to assess their financial situation, explain loan options, and recommend the best products based on their needs and qualifications. </li><li>Assist clients in completing compliant and accurate loan applications via Empower. </li><li>Ensure all loan documentation complies with applicable federal, state, and company guidelines by staying up to date on changes in lending laws, regulations and market trends. </li><li>Proactively develop, grow, and maintain strong relationships with key community development organizations within the areas Lake City Bank serves. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications Include:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience. </li><li>Five+ years of banking and/or mortgage lending experience. </li><li>Fluency in both Spanish and English </li><li>Ability to pass the required NMLS registration process in accordance with the SAFE Act. </li><li>Personal computer competency, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. </li><li>Previous mortgage processing experience helpful. </li></ul> <p>Lake City Bank is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse, inclusive workplace.
