<p>Applications for this position close on February 27, 2026, at 5pm (Mountain)</p> <p>Salary range is $52,274-62,274 depending on education and experience; faculty are offered 12-month contracts for 166 workdays between August-May. This is a grant-funded position that has no guarantee of employment beyond the duration of the grant. PERA retirees are not eligible to fill this position.</p> <p>Division Purpose</p> <p>The Division of Business and Advanced Technology provides instruction in the disciplines of Agriculture, Business, Manufacturing, Automotive, and Technology.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Faculty of Advanced Manufacturing provides classroom, laboratory, or related instruction under the supervision of the Department Chair and is responsible for planning and providing student instruction in accordance with approved syllabi, curriculum guidelines, and required program standards. This position will be teaching courses related to advanced manufacturing including courses in CAD and Engineering Technology.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Teaches courses as assigned within faculty workload guidelines. Courses will be related to advanced manufacturing in areas like CAD and Engineering Technology but is not limited to those areas. </li><li>Meets all scheduled classes unless the class has been canceled or with the permission of the Chair. </li><li>Presents instruction via classroom, hybrid classroom/online, synchronous online, or asynchronous online modalities. </li><li>Attends all regularly scheduled department, division, and college meetings/trainings as required by contract, unless these meetings conflict with a scheduled class or unless the faculty member is excused by their Chair or Dean. </li><li>Serves as a substitute within the program for absent colleagues for short-term absences as determined by the Chair, Coordinator, or Dean. </li><li>Maintains a work schedule as agreed upon by the supervisor and in concert with the state and faculty workload policy (at least a forty-hour work week with a minimum of 24 hours on campus, which can include co-ops or off-campus assignments). </li><li>Maintains regularly scheduled office hours (a minimum of five per week) for consultation or advisement with students. </li><li>Performs student advisement and registration responsibilities professionally and accurately. </li><li>Provides adequate preparation of the course material for all assigned courses. </li><li>Supervises and enforces appropriate safety procedures. </li><li>Assists in the development and implementation of the approved program curriculum and syllabi and participates in cooperative planning with colleagues. </li><li>Assists with training of instructors and with the preparation of materials for them. </li><li>Participates in college-wide assessment of student learning activities and/or projects. </li><li>Assists in program reviews and evaluation process required by internal/external sources. </li><li>Assists in marketing, recruitment, and retention activities. </li><li>Serves on and contributes to a minimum of one college committee or special task force per academic year after the first provisional year and represents the college in the community as requested. </li><li>Participates in the annual graduation ceremony. </li></ul> <p>Additional Functions</p> <p>In addition to faculty responsibilities, faculty are also expected to support and assist with student orientations, advising, and registration. Absences will be minimal and only for appropriate cause; notification of supervisor is required. Faculty must provide coverage or obtain approval for class cancellation according to PCC policy. Two personal days per year are available with approval. Refer to PCC Operational Procedures and Protocols for further information.</p> <p>Engages in ongoing professional development in the areas of active learning and cultural competency.</p> <p>Faculty are expected to model professionalism in dress, action, and communication. Accordingly, faculty are obliged to respond professionally to constructive feedback and to follow the chain of command in resolving conflicts.</p> <p>Faculty must adhere to the laws, policies, procedures, rules, and applications which govern and affect the college, including the fiscal rules of the State of Colorado.</p> <p>This list of functions is not exhaustive, and other functions may be added at the discretion of Pueblo Community College or the employee's supervisor.</p> <p>PCC offers job function modifications consistent with providing reasonable accommodation when requested from Human Resources.</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the fields of Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, and/or CNC Manufacturing technology. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>At least 3 years of related professional experience in advanced manufacturing technology and design for manufacture such as CNC programming, manufacturing technology, additive and subtractive machining technology, and/or CAD/CAM 3D modeling and Design for Manufacture. </li><li>Digital and technical experience needed to operate and integrate complex, digitally connected production systems. </li><li>Teaching experience in post-secondary or technical education is preferred. </li></ul> <p>License/Certification</p> <ul> <li>Possession of or ability to obtain Colorado CTE credential in manufacturing, Smart Automation, manufacturing robotics and/or CAD/CAM software. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Preference given to candidates demonstrating multiple competencies: post-secondary teaching best practices; operation, programming, and maintenance of manufacturing robotics; use of computer-controlled production technologies; analysis of sensor and automated-system data; and proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS, and CAD/CAM/CAE/simulation software; cybersecurity and protection of interconnected systems. </li><li>Able to lift 15 pounds. </li><li>Able to read and communicate in English. </li><li>Have mobility around campus. </li></ul> <p>Pueblo Community College embraces continuous improvement and has adopted it as its culture and as a necessary part of every job.
