<p>Newport Racing & Gaming is a gaming and entertainment facility located in Newport, Kentucky, featuring over 400 popular, thrilling, state-of-the-art Vegas-style games, sports wagering, restaurant and simulcast.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Bartender is responsible for ensuring that all guests are provided a memorable experience in our event spaces. Each team member ensures that the bar is clean, organized and the event space is ready on time for each event.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. It may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary.</p> <ul> <li>Prepares drinks correctly at the bar and or VIP Lounge for guests. </li><li>Assisting with the cleaning of the bar area and assisting with inventory maintenance. </li><li>Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests . </li><li>Responsible to perform "responsible alcohol service" with regards to patron limitations and pass any/all responsible alcohol service training. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of all bar equipment and micros cash registers. </li><li>Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol. </li><li>Maintaining interpersonal working relationship among all personnel. </li><li>Oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure demands. </li><li>Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Prior experience preferred. </li><li>Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
