<p>University of Iowa Health Care's Department of Nursing is seeking a Nurse Manager to provide leadership and management of the Nursing team in delivering safe, quality, family-centered patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.</p> <p>Position Specific Summary</p> <p>We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and dedicated nurse leader to provide managerial and clinical leadership for our Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapies Unit (3JCP). This person will be responsible for ensuring that all staff have the education, resources, and support to provide safe, high-quality patient care. If Master's Degree is in related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required </li><li>If qualified applicant does not have Master's Degree in Nursing, the applicant will need to complete an advanced degree in nursing, health care administration, or business administration within five years of beginning this position </li><li>Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license by date of hire is required </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Recent experience in clinical practice </li><li>Considerable (3-5 years) experience and demonstrated skill in leadership/management roles </li><li>Experience with unit operations including human resources, financial management, quality management, and compliance with regulatory environment with various federal and state agencies and the Joint Commission </li><li>Demonstrated experience with patient/family satisfaction initiatives including modeling service excellence principles/standards </li><li>Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives feel welcomed </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, families, outside agencies/vendors, and the community </li><li>Must be proficient in computer software applications </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in large academic medical center </li><li>Experience working in a union environment. </li><li>Experience working with oncology patients and providers </li><li>Certification in a role or specialty through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body.
