<p>Summary</p> <p>Transport people and/or participants to various care services and/or participant residence while maintaining the assigned schedule.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operate vehicle in a safe manner. Inform supervisor of any unusual situations or accidents </li></ul> <p>immediately.</p> <ul> <li>Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle and/or location/building. Comply with all traffic </li></ul> <p>safety rules and regulations.</p> <ul> <li>Assist the department supervisor with the daily activities of the Transportation department. </li><li>Inspect and maintain vehicle daily for cleaning and safety issues. Maintain accurate logs per </li></ul> <p>required standards.</p> <ul> <li>Follow established schedules, adjust schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determines safest and most efficient pickup and delivery routes. </li><li>Drive specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons and/or participants to various </li></ul> <p>destinations; assure that wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated and that riders and/or participants are delivered to appointments in a timely manner.</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p> <ul> <li>Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. </li><li>BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. </li><li>Chauffeur preferred. </li><li>Heart Saver AED preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. </li><li>Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. </li></ul> <p>Additional Preferences:</p> <p>Good driving record. Security/EMS background preferred.</p>
