<p>This is a part-time, weekday-only, year-round position in which counselors will provide support for school-aged participants in a recreational setting. Counselors will oversee groups during passive/active games, assisting with homework while also implementing the curriculum-based activities that are set by their supervisors. Our curriculum includes, but is not limited to:  </p> <ul> <li>Arts/Crafts </li><li>Food Experiences </li><li>Dance/Drama/Movement </li><li>Clinics </li><li>Science/Nature </li><li>Maintains a positive attitude </li><li>Provides direction and motivation for participants in the program. </li><li>Leads and participates in all activities with the participants. </li><li>Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors </li><li>Monitor participants for safety and address behavior concerns when necessary.  </li><li>Document and/or relay accident/incident information to the appropriate staff </li><li>Modify activities as needed or provide reasonable accommodation for participation. </li><li>Attend and participate in all required training sessions, staff meetings, and parent engagements. </li></ul> <p>ADA and Other Requirements:</p> <p> Positions in this class typically require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. </p> <p> Medium Work: </p> <p> Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. </p> <p>Visual Acuity:  </p> <p>The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, general laborer, etc.).</p> <p> Working Conditions:</p> <p> The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.</p> <p>Note:</p> <p> This job classification description is intended to be generic in nature.
