<p>The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 4 Long-Term Substitute School Counselor for the 2025-2026 academic year. Anticipated start date is February 5, 2026 with the assignment concluding around May 4, 2026. Mindess is a vibrant learning community dedicated to academic excellence and the social emotional growth of every student. We foster a collaborative environment where educators, students, and families partner to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.</p> <p>Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and small-group counseling </li><li>Facilitate weekly SEL lessons in fourth grade classrooms </li><li>Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student social-emotional growth </li><li>Assist with crisis intervention and student support plans as needed </li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and families </li><li>Participate in student support meetings and professional development opportunities </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required </li><li>Degree in counseling or related field preferred </li><li>DESE licensure as a School Counselor preferred </li><li>Ability to build rapport with students and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment </li><li>Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative mindset </li></ul>
