<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Under the supervision of the Division Director of Quality Improvement & Risk Management,</p> <ul> <li> <p>Reviews and analyzes all use of force incidents within the agency's automated UOF and other systems for compliance with agency policies, and documentation standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Investigate and document deficiencies or inconsistencies identified through review of incident reports, management information notes, photographs, videos, or associated documentation, including follow-up interviews with staff and inmates as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides clear, well-written reports detailing incident analysis, findings, and recommendations.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies trends and patterns, develops reports highlighting best practices and opportunities for improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Meets with and offers actionable feedback to institutional and agency leadership to support the agency's continuous quality improvement initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Resume preferred, but not required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant work experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.</p> <p>SCDC Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience in quality improvement, risk management, compliance auditing, audits or compliance reviews in corrections or law enforcement settings, law enforcement investigations, or related analytical work experience; </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li>An associates degree and three (3) of experience in quality improvement, risk management, compliance auditing, audits or compliance reviews in corrections or law enforcement settings, law enforcement investigations, or related analytical work experience; </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li> <p>A high school diploma and five (5) years of experience in quality improvement, risk management, compliance auditing, audits or compliance reviews in corrections or law enforcement settings, law enforcement investigations, or related analytical work experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications exceptional writing and oral presentation skills, exception data analysis skills, experience conducting use-of-force reviews, conducting data analysis, trend identification, and preparing details analytical reports, and previous correctional or law enforcement experience strongly preferred.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The South Carolina Department of Corrections is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>Supplemental questions are considered part of your official application.
