If you are passionate about giving back and ready to be a part of a fabulous team, we are looking for you!</p> <p>Division:</p> <p>Nursing - Maternal Child</p> <p>Scheduled hours: 37.50 per week</p> <p>Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>A Public Health Nurse is a registered professional nurse who functions independently and exercises critical nursing judgment. This position ensures the provision of quality nursing care and health education in accordance with best nursing practices. The Public Health Nurse will provide clinical services to include Immunizations, LEAD, STI, TB.</p> <p>Job Function:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluates immunization records to determine and administer appropriate vaccines to children and adults. </li><li>Provides pediatric and adult immunizations and collects capillary and venous specimens </li><li>Maintain cold chain of vaccine stock and assists in management of vaccine </li><li>Stock vaccine and supplies as assigned </li><li>Responsible for education and screening to community members and high-risk groups </li><li>Proficient in using electronic data systems and electronic medical record system </li><li>Position requires occasional travel to offsite clinics, participation in mobile health clinic events, and other community outreach events as assigned </li><li>Assists with foodborne and other disease outbreak investigations with team as appropriate </li><li>Participates in clinical services such as TB skin testing, STI testing and treatment, lead testing, or emergency response events when assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), and/or an Associate Degree in Nursing (AND) from an accredited school of nursing, with 2 or more years of experience in direct patient care, with pediatric or public health experience preferred.
