<p>YOUR MISSION</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development, integration, and verification of all GNC algorithms, software, and hardware for spacecraft missions. </li><li>Manage a multidisciplinary team of GNC engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance oversight. </li><li>Oversee design and analysis of attitude determination, attitude control, orbit determination, and trajectory guidance solutions. </li><li>Review and approve modeling, simulation, and Monte Carlo analyses to validate spacecraft stability, pointing accuracy, and fault tolerance. </li><li>Coordinate integration of sensors (star trackers, IMUs, sun sensors) and actuators (reaction wheels, thrusters, torque rods) with avionics and flight software. </li><li>Lead GNC verification and validation activities, including hardware-in-the-loop testing, test procedure definition, and anomaly resolution. </li><li>Ensure interface alignment between GNC and propulsion, payload, communication, and power subsystems. </li><li>Support mission operations planning for spacecraft commissioning, safe modes, attitude maneuvers, and contingencies. </li><li>Prepare technical documentation, risk assessments, and program milestone reviews while communicating status to leadership and external partners. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred). </li><li>8-12+ years of experience in spacecraft GNC design, analysis, and verification, including hands-on work with flight or high-fidelity simulation systems. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing engineering teams, setting technical direction, and delivering complex aerospace systems. </li><li>Experience with Rendezvous & Proximity Operations (RPO) missions. </li><li>Proficiency with GNC tools and methods, such as attitude determination algorithms, rigid/flexible-body dynamics, control theory, and orbit mechanics. </li><li>Experience with modeling and simulation tools, e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, STK, GMAT, or custom dynamics frameworks. </li><li>Familiarity with spacecraft sensors and actuators, including their performance characteristics, calibration, and integrationconstraints. </li><li>Ability to obtain a security clearance (active clearance preferred). </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION</p> <ul> <li>Colorado Base Salary: $140,000-$190,000 </li><li>California Base Salary: $145,000-$200,000 </li><li>Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave </li></ul> <p>Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Work Location-this will be a fully onsite opportunity based out of either our Centennial, CO or Long Beach, CA offices. </li><li>Work environment-the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job. </li><li>Physical demands-the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving. </li></ul> <p>This position will be open until it is successfully filled.
